The atomic bombing of Hioshima and Nagasaki in 1945
saved many U. S. lives. It ended World War 2 soon. Could be true could be false. It is the argument used by the USA to justify the bombing
killed tens of thousands of people instantly and hundreds of thousands within a short time. TRUE what we might not recognize is that the bomb did not kill only Japanese. People from other nations were in Hiroshima and Nagasaki when the bomb was dropped. They also were killed
required billions of dallars to clean up and restore the towns. TRUE
will never happen again. HOPEFULLY TRUE but that will depend on how serious we are about seeing that nuclear weapons are destroyed and never used again.
The production of nuclear weapons
continues today. Unfortunately TRUE
is a process that requires much money to continue. Unfortunately TRUE and it is money that could have been used for basic human needs.
is done by more than 25 nations. FALSE Fortunately many nations have willing decided not to build nuclear weapons.
is done by more than 10 nations. FALSE but several nations are considering the use of nuclear weapons. If we are not zealous in seeking the abandonment of these weapons it could be true in a few years.
is dominated by the United States and Russia TRUE It started with the "cold war". Even though the USA and Russia are on more peaceful terms the production of nuclear weapons continues. We need to look at more than a political reason for continued production of nuclear weapons.
will end in the year 2020 Hopefully TRUE. There are forces world wide seeking the end of nuclear weapons. Hopefully their thinking will prevail
is profitable for some. TRUE unfortunately very profitable. This profit is the major force which drives the continued production of nuclear weapons. If we are going to be successful in eliminating nuclear weapons we will need to address the economic forces which underlie the problem.
The federal government is responsible for our money. TRUE. Sometime in the late 1940's the United States realized its economy was floundering. President Truman signed an executive order that the UNited States Government was to assume control of the U.S. economy.
The federal government is in charge of our money. FALSE. Responsible and in control are not the same thing. The Federal Reserve controls our economy. This story will illustrate: a workman on the train complaimed - they don't let me blow the whistle. They don't let me ring the bell. But let the damn thing jump the track and see who catches hell!
The Federal Reserve Bank is a branch of the U.S. Government. FALSE. The Federal Reserve is a group of private bankers.
Every dollar the Federal Reserve Bank issues is a dollar of debt the federal government owes to the Federal Reserve Bank. TRUE.
The Federal Reserve Bank is in charge of Iraq’s money. TRUE. One of the little known facts of the Iragi war is once the USA assumed control of Iraq the first thing we did was place Iraq's money in the Bank for International Settlements and place the Federal Reserve Bank in control of Iraq's money.
The Iraq war was fought because Sadaam Hussein was a terrorist and needed to be eliminated. FALSE Another little known fact of the war was that Sadaam Hussein had taken Iraq's money out of dollars and placed it in euros.
The Federal Reserve Bank is unconstitutional. TRUE. According to the U.S. Constitution ONLY the Federal Government may issue U.S. currency. The Federal Reserve Bank is a coalition of private bankers.
More than 2 and a half times as many persons have been directly killed by nuclear warhead accidents as were killed by the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl. FALSE. Although may people's death were attributed to the nuclear blowup at Cernobyl less than 60 were directly killed at killed Chernobyl.
No nuclear warheads have ever been lost in accidents. FALSE Several have been lost. Some were never found or recovered.
There have been fewer than 30 accidints involving nuclear warheads or in producing nuclear warhead material. FALSE
Nuclear warheads are a problem only if they are dropped intentionally. FALSE Over the years nuclear warheads were lost and never recovered. These could be used to destroy human life.
It would take thousands of accidents like Chernobyl to directly kill as many persons as were directly killed at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. TRUE Thousands directly killed at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Less than 60 directly killed at Chernobyl. As serious an accident as Chernobyl it does not loom as large as Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
